Senior Software Engineer

Req # 2010-19, Closing date July 15, 2010

You engage in developing software solutions from conceptualization to delivery. You work closely with marketing in defining solution features and requirements, and you work with engineering to develop the architecture and specifications for the solution. Your job responsibility spans project planning and leading development team to execute on schedule while ensuring product quality and feature completeness. You provide technical vision on emerging technology trends and tactical guidance on project issues to the management team.

Core Responsibilities:

  1. As a member of the software development team, enable successful project execution.
  2. Develop software tools and components required to support Rimage product roadmap.
  3. Participate in and provide recommendations to improve Rimage’s software development process in areas such as requirements definition, source code control, release processes, and documentation.
  4. Provide field training and debug as necessary to accelerate customer qualification. 5. Provide guidance to management on technology trends and their implications to Rimage business and product roadmap.
  5. With the correct experience, take on the responsibility of project lead from start to finish.
  6. As project lead, work closely with marketing to define solution features and requirements.
  7. As project lead, maintain project plans, lead technical team, and ensure execution to project plans.
  8. With increasing experience, the project lead will take on additional responsibilities consistent with that of (a) Core Team Lead, providing company-wide cross-functional project leadership, or that of a (b) Technologist – generating and driving new ideas in the Rimage product portfolio.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BSCS, BSEE, BSCE) from a four year college or university is required. Master’s in Computer Science is preferred. Related work experience is desirable.
  • Proficiency with software languages such as C#/.NET, C/C++, and Java.
  • Proficiency in client side and web-based application development is desired.
  • Familiarity with Object Oriented Design, UML, and API concepts.
  • Web Services and Web Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), SOAP, XML.
  • Understand concepts in network programming and multi-threaded programming.
  • Specialization in one or more of the following areas is desired but not a requirement:

    • Video Workflows such as Transcoding and Authoring.
    • Content Security such as Encryption, Compression, Digital Signatures.
    • Database Architectures, Content Migration and Synchronization.
    • Knowledge of embedded systems, especially in mobile device application design.
  • Detailed oriented with strong problem solving skills. Makes sound technical decisions in crisis situations.
  • Teamwork: consummate team player, excels in collaborative assignment. Understands the importance of teams in rapid development environments.

Regional Business Manager-SouthCentral (Houston, TX)

The Regional Business Manager – South Central (RBM-SC) is responsible for attainment and growth of Rimage revenue within the South Central region, which includes New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana. The RBM-SC must direct, motivate and assist the network of Partners (Value Added Resellers and Distributors) to build a high performing channel sales infrastructure. The RBM-SC is very involved in all business activities throughout the region; focused on maintaining a leadership and customer-centric role within Rimage’s channel-based sales process. This is a “hands-on” sales position, with 75% of the time spent in the field with Customers and Partners representing Rimage solutions and creating market demand. As a key member of the Rimage Americas sales team, the RBM-SC must also maintain clear, concise and reliable reporting on forecasting and activities that accurately represent sales activity and achievement in the region.

Duties

Sales

  • Meeting and exceeding sales revenue goals set by Rimage executive management.
  • Spend 75% of time in the field visiting Customers, Key Accounts and Partners.
  • Conducting sales meetings providing needs analysis, product demonstrations and solution overviews.
  • Participating in trade shows, industry functions and partner events designed to promote Rimage.

Channel

  • Communicating, promoting and training Partners on all aspects of solutions, sales strategies and products.
  • Directing and assigning sales leads to Partners with the highest close rate and best fit for the application.
  • Establishing a strong network of Partners that are focused, committed, trained and equipped to sell Rimage.
  • Directing and motivating sales representatives within a Partner’s sales team.
  • Developing a sales plan & profile for each Partner, setting targets and holding them accountable for results.
  • Establish and maintain a relationship with each Partner’s management and ownership team.

Operations

  • Communicating and providing information to Rimage internal teams, where needed, to drive prog
  • Providing timely and accurate reporting and forecasting to management.
  • Provide input on Partner activities, new applications and success stories.
  • Provide ideas on how to improve communication and practices within the channel network.
  • Maintaining a forecasting system designed to identify sales opportunities within each Partner’s database.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of previous sales experience.
  • Experience in channel sales and selling within the South Central region required.
  • Work as part of the Rimage team to pursue common goals.
  • Willing to travel 75%.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Develop and execute tactical sales, including quotas and account objectives.
  • Highly organized and very effective time management skills.

Accounting Manager/Assistant Controller

Req # 2010-16, Closing Date July 15, 2010

This hands-on position manages the general accounting and SEC financial reporting functions and monitors and maintains policies, procedures and internal controls to ensure accounting policies are followed in accordance with GAAP and corporate guidelines.

Core Responsibilities

  1. Provide hands-on management of the preparation of Quarterly Form 10-Q’s and Annual Form 10-K’s, including preparation of selected footnotes and initial drafting of related MD&A’s.
  2. Research and evaluate technical accounting pronouncements and SEC rulings applicable to the company and implement policy and process changes to ensure compliance with GAAP and SEC rules and regulations.
  3. Perform lead role in managing the fulfillment of information requirements to support the external auditor’s quarterly reviews and annual audit.
  4. Determine and prepare journal entries, prepare certain account reconciliations, analyze key accounts, review balance sheet account reconciliations and review and manage all inputs to the general ledger close process.
  5. Manage and review the preparation of consolidating financial statements, including elimination and consolidated adjusting entries.
  6. Coordinate ongoing internal control initiatives in compliance with SOX 404 requirements and coordinate the development of financial and operational controls.
  7. Provide key support in the preparation of the quarterly corporate tax provision and prepare and file state sales tax returns on a timely basis.
  8. Perform review of contracts prior to finalization to assess financial implications.
  9. Provide leadership to work team members to accomplish group and organization goals effectively and efficiently.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and CPA designation required.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive combined public accounting and public company industry accounting experience, including SEC financial reporting, management reporting, financial analysis, technical accounting research and implementation of business process improvements.
  • Strong attention to detail, with well-developed analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Solid written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and SEC reporting requirements.
  • Ability to work with a high level of initiative and adaptability in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, specifically spreadsheets (Excel) and ERP system software (SAP experience a plus).
  • Strong teaching and coaching skills, with the ability to delegate and motivate effectively.
