Essential Functions

  • Create integrated lead generation and marketing campaigns, including online, email, direct mail and trade show elements.

Title:                           Financial Analyst II Apply Now

Job Summary

Support Rimage’s management reporting, financial analysis, accounting and planning requirements including support of the preparation of the annual operating plan, long range plan and forecast updates.

Essential Functions

Management Reporting:

  • Support the preparation of relevant and value-added management reporting and related analysis to support the changing information needs of management, including the following:
  • Support the preparation and analysis of the Company’s contribution margin-based income statements by product line and geography, including performance of certain administrative functions to support this process.
  • Utilizing Rimage Japan’s legal entity-based income statements, prepare a management version of the income statement each quarter based on standard costs (vs. transfer costs). As part of this, assess the potential for automating this process.

Annual Operations Planning (AOP), Long Range Planning and Forecasting:

  • Support the coordination and preparation of the company’s AOP, long range plan, and forecast updates.
  • Develop and/or revise planning models to meet company and departmental needs and develop assumptions and plan for allocable expenses, such as building rent, utilities, etc.
  • Directly support assigned cost center managers in the U.S. and certain subsidiary operations in all aspects of plan preparation, including education on use of planning models, providing information on content of historical expenses, and providing assistance as needed in planning expenses and capital expenditures, etc.
  • Support consolidation of company-wide AOP and assist with development of presentation to Board.
  • Work cross functionally with departments and senior management to support the creation of the long range plan including incorporation of anticipated results of strategic initiatives into planned revenues, COGS, and expenses.
  • Support the forecast update process.   As part of this, support the preparation of the Company’s rolling Sales & Operations (S&OP) global revenue forecast, including support of the revenue forecasts for certain subsidiary operations.

Financial Analysis:

  • Prepare monthly/quarterly narrative analysis of actual financial results compared to prior periods and AOP or forecast.  Additionally, support the financial analysis of proposed business initiatives to assess their financial viability.
  • Identify key business developments driving fluctuations and trends, including those impacting the Company’s subsidiary operations, and provide concise, relevant narrative description to facilitate management’s information requirements.  Recommend reclassifications and procedural changes as appropriate based on findings.
  • Partner with assigned department managers to provide the information necessary to support their understanding of the content of expenses charged to their department and provide guidance in assessing status of spending relative to AOP or forecast.

Other “ad hoc” projects and analysis: Assist with other analysis or reporting requirements as needed.

Essential Functions

  • Coordination / preparation of the company’s SEC related filings: Provide hands-on management of the preparation of Quarterly Form 10-Q’s and Annual Form 10-K’s, including preparation of selected footnotes and initial drafting of related MD&A’s. Also assist with preparation of financial tables required for the annual Proxy Statement.
  • Research and implementation of technical accounting issues: Research and evaluate technical accounting pronouncements and SEC rulings applicable to the company and implement policy and process changes to ensure compliance with GAAP and SEC rules and regulations.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and CPA designation required.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive combined public accounting and public company industry accounting experience, including SEC financial reporting, management reporting, financial analysis, technical accounting research and implementation of business process improvements.
