Senior Compliance Engineer
The Senior Compliance Engineer role is the single point of authority for management of product compliance, safety compliance and regulatory certifications for the US and international markets. This responsibility includes identifying all product certification requirements for products sold throughout the world, and defining the processes by which certifications will be achieved and maintained. The Senior Compliance Engineer leads cross-functional teams consisting of members of Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Technical Publications. This engineer will plan, schedule, and coordinate activities for the certification efforts.

Minimum Requirements:
  • BS in technical discipline (e.g., electrical engineering, mechanical engineering) or equivalent professional experience
  • 5-10 years experience in a product development organization with responsibility for managing safety, environmental, and electro-magnetic compliance certification. Familiarity with standards such as EN60950, EN55022, EN55024, EN60601 and product marking and documentation requirements such as CE, TUV, C-Tick, CCC, VCCI, VDE, FCC, FDA, RoHS, Japan Green, and China RoHS. Experience within the optical media recording domain a plus.
  • Strong analytical and math skills, especially in statistical analysis. Excellent oral and written communication skills and organizational skills. Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently, multi-task, and meet aggressive schedules. Excellent hardware troubleshooting skills. Exceptional attention to detail.
