Rimage and DatCard Announce Mammosmart Donation Recipients

Imaging facilities in Florida and New York to receive free breast health education systems - 03/05/2008
Minneapolis, MN - March 5, 2008 - Rimage (Nasdaq: RIMG) and DatCard Systems today announced the recipients of its first MammoSmart Empowerment Award - Canal Radiology Associates in New York City and Vero Radiology Associates in Vero Beach, Florida. Both facilities will receive a free MammoSmart comprehensive breast health solution to help strengthen patient education programs.

"We received many worthy submissions from hospitals and imaging centers across the country," said Robert Martinez, vice president of medical sales for Rimage, a leading provider of on-demand disc publishing solutions. "We'd like to congratulate all the entrants for demonstrating that MammoSmart is a desirable solution for both large and small breast imaging facilities."

Rimage, DatCard, and a third party medical imaging expert, selected the recipients based on their compelling aspiration to provide the highest level of patient care and their desire to give every patient a customized educational disc with their own medical information.

"With MammoSmart, these facilities can now offer patients and referring physicians a CD or DVD with comprehensive, personalized medical images and information about breast health," said Andrew Rosenzweig, vice president of sales and marketing for DatCard. "We are excited to begin working with these two imaging centers to help educate patients."

The MammoSmart solution is a revolutionary means of providing and empowering patients with their complete mammography history and breast care information on an automatically produced CD or DVD. Depending on the facility, this information may include mammography history, patient health data, educational/instructional content and their mammography images.

Both Vero Radiology Associates and Canal Radiology Associates will receive a donated MammoSmart system, plus training and one year of service.

Canal Radiology Associates

Canal Radiology Associates (CRA) is a comprehensive diagnostic imaging center offering state-of-the-art radiology services. In addition, CRA is an important mammography screening facility for the Manhattan Breast Health Partnership. CRA is strongly committed to providing breast health screening to the residents of downtown Manhattan and the underserved Asian American community in New York City.

"We are thrilled to be selected by Rimage and DatCard as a facility worthy of this donation," said Charles Piccinnini, administrative director of Canal Radiology Associates. "MammoSmart will help us continue our strong leadership and clinical competence in breast health screening, while ensuring we have the resources to conduct effective patient education programs in a culturally sensitive environment."

Vero Radiology Associates

Vero Radiology Associates is a comprehensive, state-of-the-art facility with a heavy focus on women's health and breast imaging. The women's center offers digital mammography, ultrasound, stereotactic breast biopsies, breast MRI and MRI guided breast biopsies.
