Noritsu and Rimage Announce Innovative Digital Publishing Solution

Photofinishing and digital publishing leaders unveil unified solution at PMA - 03/08/2007
Las Vegas, NV - Rimage Corporation (Nasdaq:RIMG - News) the pre-eminent supplier of on-demand digital publishing solutions, and Noritsu, the world's largest manufacturer of photo processing and digital imaging systems, today announced a collaborative digital publishing solution that will make it easier for photo labs to author CDs and DVDs. The companies will debut the new solution at the Photo Marketing Association's International Convention and Trade Show - PMA 2007.

Noritsu and Rimage have teamed up to create an innovative and robust digital publishing solution that will give photo labs more flexibility to author high-quality discs, including photo CDs and DVDs. The new solution provides retailers a completely integrated, feature-rich digital publishing solution, with all functions controlled directly from selected models of the Noritsu QSS Series of digital minilabs and CT-SL kiosks.

"This integration enables users of selected models of Noritsu digital minilabs to leverage the unmatched speed and flexibility of Rimage digital publishing equipment, giving our customers the ability to produce professional quality discs, printed with graphics far superior to what can be done at home", said Richard Hougland, Vice President of Sales for Noritsu America Corporation. "With its seamless workflow, this solution will drive more disc production and generate significantly higher revenues for our customers."

"Noritsu is a renowned photo lab manufacturer with a great reputation for quality and reliability, and we are thrilled to be partnering with them to create a full-featured digital publishing solution for their systems," said David Suden, chief technology officer for Rimage Corporation. "This new integration will allow Noritsu to better serve retail customers' growing demand for new digital content products."

The new Noritsu/Rimage integration features top-of-the-line Everest? thermal retransfer printing technology for the most professional-looking direct-to-disc printing available from a photo lab.

"Matching the Noritsu digital minilab with Rimage digital publishing technology will help photo lab technicians provide great results to retail customers, with more added-value options for customization," Hougland said.
