Rimage Debuts Robust New Digital Publishing Software

Producer Version 7.3 features powerful disc spanning technology, software support for new 4x Blu-ray Disc writers - 03/20/2007

Minneapolis, MN - Rimage Corporation (Nasdaq: RIMG) today announced the Version 7.3 release of its Producer Software Suite featuring new disc spanning technology and Blu-ray Disc? (BD) authoring support.

"Our latest version of the Producer Software Suite 7.3 provides important new capabilities for content delivery and archiving information," said Manny Almeida, chief operating officer for Rimage. "With the new features, Rimage continues to meet demands for CD, DVD and BD capacity and customization."

Rimage's exclusive disc spanning feature lets users spread any amount of data over virtually any number of discs using a one-step content distribution process. Each disc is automatically ordered, numbered and written with a simple application to re-join files from any workstation, no matter what software is locally available.

Rimage disc spanning also performs ad-hoc backup, archiving and data restoration by using a totally automatic process for accurately and efficiently splitting files and providing a free application for re-joining data. Any potential error in disc creation is handled automatically and transparently, eliminating mistakes or issues whether the job is for one or one hundred discs.

Blu-ray Disc support ensures that Rimage system users can create high-capacity disc archives using Blu-ray Disc media, which holds up to 25 gigabytes of data in a single layer. As Blu-ray Disc technology becomes more widely available and new 4x speed Blu-ray Disc writers are introduced this year, Blu-ray Disc writing tools are now supported in Version 7.3.

The Producer Version 7.3 Software Suite also includes:

A user-friendly interface and wizard-based project startup (QuickDisc).
A CD Designer application that enables users to design custom graphics and information to print on discs.
The Rimage System Manager, which allows users to change hardware configuration and settings and view consumable status, system logs and job status.
Essential Rimage software infrastructure modules - Production Server, Messaging Server, Imaging Server and additional components.

The Rimage Producer Version 7.3 software package is available now for Rimage Producer digital publishing systems. New 4x speed Blu-ray Disc writers will be available in May 2007.
