Rimage and VideoBank Announce Joint Product Integration

Digital asset management leader to offer unified disc publishing solution - 11/15/2007
Rimage Corporation (Nasdaq: RIMG), a global manufacturer of on-demand digital publishing technology, today announced a joint product integration with VideoBank, a leading digital asset management solution provider. The partnership enables end-users to specify Rimage digital publishing systems as part of an integrated VideoBank product suite.

VideoBank uses Rimage digital publishing to help end-users manage and distribute video content using optical disc media such as DVD, CD and Blu-ray DiscTM. "Many of our customers already were using Rimage systems for disc output," said Tamas Nagy, Business Development Manager for VideoBank. "Our customers, particularly in government and entertainment markets, were asking for high-throughput digital publishing capabilities in order to archive assets or offer discs for sale to consumers. Rimage has multiple systems that meet those needs."

Using the Rimage Software Development Kit (SDK) with either the Rimage Rapid API or Client API, VideoBank created a seamless, customized software solution to allow its customers easy DVD creation from an existing digital archive, using a browser interface or desktop application.

"This integration provides a one-step solution for VideoBank customers to create hundreds of unique discs with the click of a button," said Hamish MacMillan, Director of Business Development for Rimage. "The direct link to Rimage systems for CD/DVD production will provide an automated feature set to the world of DVD/CD fulfillment."

VideoBank's customers, including ESPN, the National Hockey League, National Geographic and NASCAR, will have access to the Rimage on-demand disc publishing automation integration. VideoBank also plans to specify use of Rimage systems for customers in the law enforcement market. Law enforcement agencies use Rimage digital publishing solutions to archive closed-circuit TV footage, squad car video footage, interrogation video footage and many other forms of multimedia evidence.

"Rimage's wide variety of systems makes them an ideal partner," Nagy said. "When our customers need a turnkey disc publishing solution, we feel confident that our Rimage integration will suit the unique needs of our many different vertical markets."

Beginning in Nov. 2007, VideoBank will offer its new and existing customers a choice of three Rimage digital publishing systems as a peripheral hardware upgrade to its VideoBank CD/DVD Distribution product.
